Tue(do)sday

On this week's agenda:
-Spend quality time with Fiancé and enjoy each other's company.
-Tentative Corsage-assembly party has been scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
-Buy doubled sided tape (I keep thinking about assembling the centerpieces, but need tape first)
-Be as active as possible...more for stress management than for weight loss at this point. I really see a difference in my moods when I at least go for a walk on my lunch break or something.

I have to work this Saturday...so that is a huge bummer but I will either leave early Friday or come in late on Monday to even things out. Plus, NEXT week is only a four day week because of the Fourth. Plus my dress could possibly be in the week after the holiday weekend, so that is something to look forward to. I think I might actually get excited once it is here, but we'll have to wait and see.

Totally random: I had crazy Nazi Germany infused dreams last night. Probably since we watched Tom Cruise play "dissenter Nazi Tom Cruise" in Valkyrie. It was good, besides the fact that Tom Cruise was the star.

Wedding.

I just had the urge to list what I DON'T want associated with our wedding:

Calla Lilies.
Bows on the backs of chairs.
Receiving line of any sort.
Bridesmaids with matching hair, shoes, accessories.
1 Corinthians 13:4.
A long, hypocritical Christian ceremony when neither of us follow any organized religion belief system.
"it all was a blur" afterthoughts.

Things we will be doing:
DIY flowers and centerpieces.
sustainable favors, if any at all.
A short, to the point ceremony centered around the committment of marriage, not its religious meaning.
Enjoying the whole day and not stressing about all the little details :)
Catering done by local pizza places/DIY salad bar.
Celebrating our marriage with family and friends, woo!

I just stumbled upon a friend-of-a-friend's wedding photos and they could have been taken straight from a wedding mag. Why on Earth do I want to spend all this time planning a day almost identicial to this, besides slight differences in color and flower choice? All I really want is a the day to be as unique as we are...and we are pretty special people, if I may say so myself, haha.

Crafty time.

Thank goodness I have people who love me enough to help!
The two types of centerpieces:
They will each have three tea lights around them as well....estimated total cost for materials to make 7 of each: $50

My bouquet:

I'm very proud to share I found these little wreaths at Micheals that we took apart and are the orange and green and brown stick thingies...I may not be able to assemble things, but I had a vision and my sister's friend executed it for me.
The girls bouquets all look like this:

They have gold sparkly swirly things sticking out of them, just hard to see in pictures. Estimated total cost of bouquets, man-flowers and corsages for moms and the two g-mas: $50

I purchased the after-wedding vacation airfare yesterday. Two people flying from Ohio to Orlando, nonstops both ways: $354.40. Thank you Airtran. Oh and we don't have to sit by strangers. It was $24 extra dollars, but I think it was very well spent...and I get the window cause Fiance doesn't care, woo!
I revised the ceremony wording a bit and outlined the processional and recessional as well as made a rough outline for the reception. I think I may have the most organized DIY wedding ever. Thank you slight OCD tendencies. The ceremony still isn't perfect, but I'm going to show it to Fiance soon and see what he thinks.

I'm actually getting things done, woo-hoo.
